Murder Mystery Synopsis:

Victoria Cadbury, a mysterious heiress of Golden Grove, is hosting an unprecedented dinner party at the Cadbury estate in honor of The Golden Grove Historical Society. Not one for being invited to exclusive events, you were bewildered when the invitation arrived in your mailbox. The 18th-century manor has a tragic history, and there are many reports of malevolent ghosts haunting the property. Nevertheless, your curiosity has burdened you, and for this reason, you cannot miss this once-in-a-lifetime event. This is where your story begins.

How to Host a Large Game:

  • 16 unique players from the main game.
  • 8 unique players from expansion pack #1 (purchased separately)
  • Up to 15+ duplicate CBC News Crew players led by Tele N. Ewe, (this purchase)
  • Up to 15+ duplicate RBC News Crew players led by Cooper Anderson, (this purchase)

Note: You do not have to add the expansion pack to use the expandable teams. You can use those at any time, but they are not unique player roles - they are duplicated news crew players to play under Tele or Cooper. But if you are wanting to save money and would like to avoid purchasing the expansion pack, the expandable teams are included with the main game.

Our family had a great time solving this murder mystery. The info was pretty well played out and we managed to figure out whodunit. But we did not predict the fun twist at the end.

Murder at the Old Cadbury Mansion

What FUN! Three weeks later we are still laughing about the games and events of each round. We had a small group of nine, and this being the first My Mystery party I have thrown, I’m glad it wasn’t bigger. Next time a larger group will not be as intimidating!

I’m sure we didn’t map this game as well as we could, but it didn’t matter we had so much fun. It was very engaging. Flowed nicely. All around great fun.

I used this for a group of 8 people and it worked great! Everything went smoothly and it couldn’t be easier to set up and run. This is the first one I have used and I am looking forward to using more, everyone is looking forward to our next murder mystery! Plus this has a great twist :)

We decided to do a small party for my daughter’s birthday and this was a perfect way to celebrate! I loved the surprise ending...didn’t see it coming! We will do another one in the near future. I highly recommend.

    Old Cadbury Mansion Halloween Party

Posted by Unknown on Nov 3rd 2020

Best Halloween yet. From the game trailer to the invitation PDF and suggestions; it was well done. Hosted a halloween party for our friends and it was awesome. Everyone took it seriously and came well dressed and in character. Will definitely host more of these murder mysteries.

    An amazing and fantastic night

We have never been to or hosted one of these before this one. Our guest had an absolute fantastic time. Setting the house up took minimal effort but, of course I had to push the envelope. We set up fog machines for the guests to experience as they arrived. When the actual party started, we kicked in the lightning machines outside the house along with the sound inside which really set the atmosphere. All costume suggestions were matched by those playing and really took it over the edge and made it super fun. Since this was a setting of a fundraiser, we played right, left, center during one of the breaks in order to add to the fundraising feel. Everyone who attended had never participated in a murder mystery game but, always wanted to do so. I would definitely recommend this game. We are now expected to host these every Spring.

    Great Mystery Great Party

Posted by Helmsley Grantington on Oct 28th 2018

This was our first ever murder mystery party, and it was fantastic!! We played with the expansion and had a total of 22 guests! The instructions were easy to follow and really set us up for a great evening. We had a mixed group of friends so there were several people who didn't know each other, but that didn't really matter. Once the game starts everyone gets their clue card, and it really didn't matter as the game starts and everyone gets into character. As hosts we weren't spoiled at all except for a few minor details that we were able to guess or infer based on some of the instructions, ie when the murder was going to happen, and who was suddenly missing from the group. This was so minor that it didn't even matter and we were definitely surprised with how everything unfolded. We got rave reviews from all of our guests even the ones who were a little unsure at first. Can't wait to start planning next years party!
