Thank you for putting together such a well organized story download that made my party a huge success! We used the script for Murder at Devonshire Manor this weekend. It turned out great with 10 x 13 and 14 year olds for an afternoon birthday party. The parents were just as excited as the guests and had to come in and talk about the party and hear more about it when they dropped off their kids. The party was from 1 to 5.
As each guest arrived they received a manila file folder with a Mystery Investigation Sheet clipped on top, a pen, their name tag and an envelope with the PreGame Tasks and the Guest Instructions. They were directed to “Ask what needs to be asked and say what needs to be said.” My husband and I were introduced as the Housekeeper and Groundskeeper of the Manor and stayed in character as we welcomed guests and served drinks. I had edited the PreGame Tasks and removed the contact info section and any characters we did not use and had them with the appropriate character’s file labeled “Welcome Round” as ice breakers – some of the guests did not know each other. The questions gave them something specific to do right away and helped them ease into the party.
We reviewed the Guest Instructions as a group before Round 1 and encouraged everyone to stay in character. I was surprised that all guests did stay in character until we solved the mystery.
After Round 1 – we served what we called “High Tea” – finger sandwiches (pb & j, cucumber and cream cheese, and chicken salad), hot hors d'oeuvres assortment, cookies, mini brownies, small pastries, and a veggie tray. Tea and Lemonade served in punch cups. Except for the sandwiches – all food was purchased at Sam’s Club and already made (including the chicken salad) – so easy.
The death in Round 2 went really well. We just used the Victim sign and the “Caution” tape and our victim could talk in a Ghostly voice. When the victim came out of the bathroom while the Witness was still screaming and fell down on the floor in the middle of the room – the rest of the guests were laughing so hard - it was wild and wonderful!!!
After the Characters read their Final Solution envelopes in Round 3 and the murderer was revealed, I read out loud to the group The Answers Lie Within. Some of the guests were frustrated that more information wasn’t given about THEIR characters – Riley, Logan, and Drew. (I understand you only included information on the “Required” characters but you should also include information on the “Optional” characters in case they are used.)
I was hesitant about the guests being willing to voice their accusations about who the murderer was and the reasons behind it – but there was such passion in the speeches and so many different theories of other characters being co-conspirators. You would have loved it!
I was also hesitant at the suggestion to have the guests guess a number and if the suspect would get away or not. I really was surprised at how much they liked this. I was also surprised at how much the guests enjoyed the naming of the Cartoon Characters. I thought they would think it was hokey but they were laughing at the variety of characters and the results of the grouping of counts.
Then we had Birthday Cake and gifts. We probably could have been over at 4 but I wanted to make sure we did not rush any of the Rounds as you suggested.
I was very impressed with the Mystery Script and all of the suggestions. It was worth every penny. I would recommend this script for adults as well.
Thank you for making this party so special and enabling my daughter to have a unique party with structure and purpose which was helpful for young teens and yet it was so fun for all involved.

I downloaded the July 4th Scavenger Hunt Party to use this Saturday July 4th. We had a blast! We had 3 teams go out into the community, everyone had a great time. We have had people tell us, they saw us that day, getting out of a car, going into a business and coming right back out, jumping into a car and taking off. They thought we had either robbed the establishment or we were on a scavenger hunt! Of course, we told them we were on a hunt. The hunt was actually harder than we thought it would be. My boss won though, so I was pleased, even though the 4th was my birthday!
What a great idea for parties. We will certainly be coming back and buying more party games or hunts!

Great party idea. it was for my daughters 13th b day wanted something diff...4 13yr old girls, her 22yr old sister & 3 friends & 4 adults (40's) we ALL had a great time. It was fun for all & a great value. the only improvement would be to have all the host instructions in a sep area so it would be easier to read through...other than that it was awesome!!!!!!
From MMP: Our mystery party Party Ready Packs do have the host instructions separated. However in our 'host-assembled' downloadable games, we put the instructions in order of occurrence throughout the kit to ensure for ease of assembly and to keep the host in the proper order- so no mistakes happen. However, we're evaluating this feedback to see how we can make improvements. We truly appreciate all feedback! UPDATE: Our new games and most of our older games (2015) have been reformatted to fix this issue - so the host instructions are all together instead of separated in the rounds. I had to write and tell how great Murder Me, I’m Irish (Teen version) was. I thought it was complicated at first but it made total sense after reading it through twice and organizing the materials!
My daughter was turning 18, and we had a surprise birthday for her. We decorated the house in an Irish theme and told everyone to wear green. I had everything laid out for this game but was ok with not playing it if the kids didn’t get into it—I mean, the are all 17 and 18 and my fear was that they’d think it was silly.
Well, we had about 20 guys and girls in all and they TOTALLY got into it, even the guys (I should say ESPECIALLY the guys). We adjusted a few things….they loved “What green thing am I” and the Irish Charades. I made a skull & crossbones t-shirt with a stencil and black paint. Put the poison sheet of paper around a green plastic mug. I used a lanyard for the murder victim sign. I picked one girl to be the host of the game so I could stay in the background J…we only spent 15 minutes with me explaining what she had to do and she was off and running. We did round one during snacks, round two during pizza, and round two right before cake. They totally got into their characters…it was so much fun listening to them. The eating in between gave them a little break and think about the characters and just relax. Then they’d get right back into it!
WOW…if you’re thinking of ordering this…do it. It was a riot and we had kids at our party who are into theatre, athletics, shy, outgoing…you name it!!!!! What a WIN. SA

Just wanted 2 let u know that we had the party last night & every1 had such a scream. We have used shop brought boxed games before which have been a laugh but your game won hands down. We played most of the optional games, which were hilarious fun although I am disappointed that I didn't manage to walk on bubble wrap.
I would definitely buy another game and my mate is already talking about having a super hero convention! My mates & I r in our 30's - 40's and we picked the teen version of your game as we had got bored with the sexual innuendo of other games. We held our party on this past Saturday night and I have to tell you it was one of the funniest experiences we have ever had. We had 18 people attend all of which had never participated in this type of murder mystery. I day was a little hectic because I am a perfectionist when it comes to hosting, but the guests are still talking about how much fun it was. Being from Louisiana , I loved making this part of my Mardi Gras celebration. Now everyone wants it to happen every year, which means we need more Mardi Gras themed mysteries. Great job and we will definitely be back for more fun, maybe even something for the teens. JL

My mother and I just hosted our very first Murder Mystery Party for my Sweet Sixteen! I picked "Murder and Mayhem at the Teen Idol Awards", it was a BLAST.
Everyone had the best time, and it really was as easy to put together as everyone said! It took time, but it wasn't especially hard. We had to change the characters a bit to allow for our all-girl party, but it all went quite smoothly.
I ended up (unwittingly) being murdered at my Sweet Sixteen, which was incredibly fun. Everyone loved getting into the characters, and getting to know people. (Though we did break character for dinner, so that they could get to know the real people, also).
VERY long story short? Best party ever! I highly recommend My Mystery Party to anyone who's ever wanted to host an absolutely fantastic party!

I'm gearing up for my 3rd MyMysteryParty. I first did my daughter's 13th birthday with the 80's "Like Oh My Gosh" party 4 years ago and that went so well we did the same party again for another 13th birthday party this year. So excited over the whole idea, we are now planning for her 17th birthday "Teen Idol Awards" murder mystery. What a Great experience! I had 9 twelve year olds playing the game at a birthday sleepover. All the girls had a blast. We tooks breaks in between each round and played some of the games they sugested and played some of ours. The Girls just couldn't wait to get back to the mystery. I was nervous that the game would be too easy/hard. But it wasn't. I asked the Girls how they felt about the game and 4 of them said at the same time "Awesome". The other four chimed in that they thought it was great. As the Girls were leaving they were asking their Moms if they could have a Mystery Party. I chose to download the game and printed everything off of my printer. Every thing was easy and nothing was missing. The party went so well that my Husband and I found ourselves discussing another party after school starts. It was by far the best and easiest party I have ever had.

Email feedback for Binkie Blossom's Kidnapping Caper i purchased this game for my daughter's 12th birthday party. the girls had a blast. it took a bit of preparation but on the actual day of the party, i found that the girls entertained themselves for the most part which left me free to prepare meals, prepare for the games suggested in the kit and actually relax during the party that i was hosting! the girls outfits were very creative and they were excited about dressing up for the party. i got a lot of positive feedback from their parents for this "unique" idea. unfortunately one girl could not make it but i adjusted the clues to omit her and found that it did not affect the game flow at all. this was the best money i have spent on a birthday party and it is much more fun for the girls than simply "hanging out" and it was much more fun for me than trying to find things to keep them entertained during the party. Everything went well at my party. My friends loved it and had bunches of fun. Who kidnapped the person was not obvious either, we went back in forth throughout the clues trying to put each clue together. The download was fast and easy. We just hosted a party for 10, 12 year old girls (who are all part of a youth group, not necessarily the closest of friends) and they played the Mystery at the Mistman game. I was very happy with the Teen Murder Mystery I purchased from your site. It had exactly what I wanted, a mystery that was ready to go with minimal work from me (just printing and cutting stuff out), and it was actually intended for teens but still included murder. I did wind up with all boys for the event, so I had to talk a few into playing female roles. I just wanted to tell you thank you for your site. I purchased the Ultimate Scavenger Hunt for our teenagers Halloween party. I had to change a some of the tasks because we live in a town of only 1500 people and some of the tasks could not be completed due to the nature/size of our town.
This was the fourth year we have done a party with a scavenger hunt throughout our town and the businesses have been very supportive, especially this year as they had to enter the establishments to complete tasks. I ask for permission ahead of time from businesses so the youth can enter. We give a copy of the hunt to our local police department so they know what is going on also. This was the first year I purchased the tasks and it made things much simpler.
Our party has grown in invitations from year to year and this year we had 53 teenagers do the scavenger hunt. There were many laughs from the youth as well as innocent bystanders since many were asked to help complete certain tasks. The teens had a wonderful time.
