Mystery Synopsis:

Miles Randolph was a ruthless cheapskate who loathed everyone in the town of Pinewood Landing. A miserly outsider, Mr. Randolph only left his mansion to run his toy factory, Randolph Toys, Incorporated, which was the largest producer of toys in the world. Miles spent his life amassing his fortune and churning out hate, grief, and gloom to all who crossed his path.

Nobody blinked an eye when the staff of his estate found Miles Randolph’s body this morning. The crime scene was made to appear as if he died from natural causes, but the clever homicide detectives of Pinewood Landing caught on to the ruse. The question is not if he were murdered, but rather, who could have pulled off such a crime? Is the killer an employee of the toy factory? A family member? The butler? Or might it be one of the many colleagues he has wronged in the past?

The Pinewood Landing detectives have asked for your help to solve the case. Further instructions will be sent to you for the exact time and place that you will meet with the team who is assigned to solve this case. You should be aware - everyone assigned to delve into this case was associated with Miles Randolph, as he had numerous ties to many networks around the world. It would be dangerous for you not to attend, as the others might consider your absence a confession. This is where your story begins.

    People you know!

I love murder mystery games in general, so when I saw this was available virtually I had to try it. We had a blast playing, I highly recommend giving it a shot. I suggest playing with people who have played one before. In addition to playing via online connecting, encourage your players to reach out to other players via text, phone call, face time outside of the group chat. It makes for interesting conversations! Over all super fun!

    This game was fun

This was a great game to play remotely. The instructions were easy to follow and the group had a great time. It was a little clunky at first doing it remotely and just like the game advised, let things unfold organically. We had 10 players and everyone had a good time.

Fun for Avid Murder Mystery Fans

If you need a way to keep cabin fever at bay that involves your entire game night group, look no further. My friends and I have been doing boxed Murder Mysteries for years. When Corona disrupted our latest plans for an at-home game, this was an ideal alternative. All of the fun of in-person play with the added bonus of obeying social distancing regulations.

This mystery gave my family and I an AMAZING family night in during our COVID-19 quarantine! All the instructions and materials were so easy to use. My family and I chose to use Zoom meetings to host our party. Our game play was smooth and so so fun!! Everyone embraced their characters and were really able to shut out our crazy world for a few hours!! Definitely worth it and definitely recommend!

    Quarantine Murder Mystery Family Fun

Posted by Janeen on Apr 4th 2020

Originally, we were planning to do the Murder in the Escape Room over Spring Break. Because of the Quarantine, I came back to my trusted people at My Mystery Party. I used Evite to make it more suspenseful. I noticed they also have a video chat option for up 8 people - we chose not to use it. I began working on assigning characters the week before by sending the bios and pregame tasks. The morning of the event, we began the pregame texts. To build more suspense, I scheduled each round with clues to be released at certain times. We were able to complete the entire game (rounds 1-finale) in about 90 minutes. There were 8 of us on Zoom. Participants found it easier to use both phone for reference of clues and computer for actual Zoom call. Upon the conclusion of the game, it was already requested to play another game next week! The difficulty was just right as it gave us enough information to support and refute the facts while in character. Our youngest player was 14. Our eldest was 69. It was fantastic! We laughed and enjoyed seeing each other during this difficult time.

My family were desperate for something to do whilst we were all seperated during the lockdown due to COVID-19. I was not dissapointed, twists and turns at every corner! The pre-game provides much needed excitement on top of everything. Could not recommend this enough! Great job!
