Mystery Synopsis:

Miles Randolph was a ruthless cheapskate who loathed everyone in the town of Pinewood Landing. A miserly outsider, Mr. Randolph only left his mansion to run his toy factory, Randolph Toys, Incorporated, which was the largest producer of toys in the world. Miles spent his life amassing his fortune and churning out hate, grief, and gloom to all who crossed his path.

Nobody blinked an eye when the staff of his estate found Miles Randolph’s body this morning. The crime scene was made to appear as if he died from natural causes, but the clever homicide detectives of Pinewood Landing caught on to the ruse. The question is not if he were murdered, but rather, who could have pulled off such a crime? Is the killer an employee of the toy factory? A family member? The butler? Or might it be one of the many colleagues he has wronged in the past?

The Pinewood Landing detectives have asked for your help to solve the case. Further instructions will be sent to you for the exact time and place that you will meet with the team who is assigned to solve this case. You should be aware - everyone assigned to delve into this case was associated with Miles Randolph, as he had numerous ties to many networks around the world. It would be dangerous for you not to attend, as the others might consider your absence a confession. This is where your story begins.

YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • Host instruction file - including bonus games to play virtually, player instructions, and a timeline sheet (abbreviated instructions) for your event.

    Great Work Teambuilding Event

Posted by James on Apr 26th 2020

Played the party with 11 co-workers (using the expansion pack). It worked really well. I played a character and ran the party successfully. Everyone really enjoyed it and several characters were accused. During this time when we are all working remotely, this was a great way to bond and spend time together.

    Zoom It!

Posted by Ryan Rysewyk on Apr 26th 2020

WORTH IT! What else are you doing? Had a blast with something other than the typical Zoom Happy Hour. A bunch of friends got engaged, and more importantly it was something to look forward to. We all guessed wrong but it was fun!

    Great Night

Posted by Unknown on Apr 26th 2020

We did a zoom birthday virtual murder mystery and everyone had a BLAST! We all dressed up in costumes and had custom virtual backgrounds. It was great! None of us anticipated a quarantine birthday party but this was awesome

    Worth it

Posted by Unknown on Apr 21st 2020

We did it with 6 couples as each couple played a character. It was easier to follow with only 6 characters and zoom couple could work as a team. Lasted just under 2 hours as people really got into it. Would purchase again.

    Quarantine 13 year old birthday

Posted by Mom in quarantine on Apr 16th 2020

This saved the day! We had done a murder mystery party for my daughters 11th birthday that was so fun. I was thrilled to see a new zoom virtual option as her 13th birthday is while we are not just shelter in place but in actual quarantine. It helped that the group of 10 were familiar with how the party’s work. We sent a text chain so they could do the pregame part via private text, they relabeled their zoom name titles as their characters. I was the moderator so would step in to guide but they only needed a little nudge for one of the clues. I emailed parents ahead of time to tell them the plan and ask them to make sure each kid had zoom on a laptop and a texting device. And a snack for halfway through. They sang happy birthday at the end and my quaran-teen is very happy. It took just under 2 hours.

    Zoomed to Success!

Posted by Katie on Apr 16th 2020

I played this with 5 of my friends via Zoom during iso. It was a hilarious good time and although none of us guessed correctly, we had a blast! Took us about 2 hours. Although most of us are not typically dramatic people, everyone got into it and I enjoyed watching unexpected friends "fight" in their character roles. We skipped the pre-game task. I would definitely recommend this game, especially if the iso boredom is kicking in!

Most fun social distancing night in a while!

Posted by Unknown on Apr 9th 2020

A group of 9 of us played The Murder of Miles Randolph on Zoom and had a great time. We were all newbies and were a little awkward during the first round, then gradually loosened up as we went along. If you're a first-timer, feel free to add-lib, use accents, props and the like if you are comfortable. If you aren't comfortable with that, don't let it stop you from playing! You can just read your part with some feelng and that will be just fine, too.

This was a good mystery. It kept you guessing. Fun parts for escape room fans. We enjoyed it.
