Mystery Synopsis

Once upon a time, there was a faraway land called the Enchanted Realm. The people of the land got along harmoniously for many centuries...that is, until Queen Black gained control of the Silver Tree Forest. It was not long before happy endings turned into nightmares, as the ruling Kingdom of Gullyshire suffered repeated attacks, and the villains began to gain control. The mystic mountains filled with nefarious monsters and were no longer safe, and wicked witches took over the charmed forest. Queen Black has shocked the realm and has invited all of the territories to the Dark Castle of the Silver Tree Forest to sign a peace treaty. She may have evil intentions, but nonetheless, you have been invited by Queen Black, and this is where your story begins.

    Nice for Teens

Used this game for a birthday party for my teen. All the kids loved it. Everyone got all dressed up, played their parts well, and had a great evening.

    Great Staff and Wonderful Murders

Posted by Michael O'Brien on Feb 23rd 2017

I have had to call Nancy numerous times for assistance in choosing a mystery, when I needed an additional character, needed all ladies, got locked out of my account and so on. I have always received prompt and effective solutions in the most positive customer friendly manner. Great organization!

    Once Upon a Murder... Fun!

Posted by Unknown on Jan 30th 2017

A Girl Scout troop of 14 year olds - had a blast with this! Our third mystery from this website - all have been great fun! The action and the suggested games are terrific - lots of laughter! One girl solved the mystery - the others were split between two other characters. Would like to see additional meal options to consider though. We put together our own menu easy enough.

    Fun had by all

A great party for the 8 13 -14 year old girls. They had fun with simple costumes and just the ability to hang out why they tried to solve the murder. Only 1 figured it out and the rest of the guesses were very funny.

Would like to see smaller parties

Posted by Susanne on Oct 30th 2016

We had a blast but I wish you would have smaller sized parties. We worked it though. I invited seven as required and only four showed up:( so I improvised and had my sister Skype in and play the Black Queen (She dressed in costume as well) and my dog in her crate was Belle and we used a stuffed animal for Scarlett., it actually worked out splendidly as my puppy was Belle stuck in a cage in a mysterious castle.. My aunt who also was a call in was Malificent and I was Pandella who was the servant girl and ironically I was the hostess. It was fun but would have been funnier if tailor made for a smaller group. You have extension packs for bigger groups but nothing to accommodate small groups.

    So much fun!

Loved the story, the mystery itself was challenging enough and kept people in the game, wanting to do more and more! We are definitely coming back for another game. I had no problems hosting my first time, the kit was easy to prepare, but I may check out their boxed versions next just to see.

    Very well developed party package

Posted by Diane Czarkowski on May 22nd 2016

It was great to have a complete kit to host a murder mystery party for our daughter's 11th birthday. My only problem occurred when I tried printing the giant 60 page document. My printer kept freezing up. It would be better to have a zip folder with several smaller documents for the ease of printing. We loved the character development and everyone was into their roles. We also enjoyed being able to keep the murderer and victim's identities a secret - even to the host so it was a surprise for us as well!

    Great Fun!

Worked well for my teenage youth group and for both the actors and shy members of the group. Fun story and made for an excellent evening. Would recommend.
