Murder Mystery Synopsis:
The Oceanside Palace Hotel of Maui was hosting their nightly luau on Sunset Beach. Exciting Polynesian spirit filled the air as the guests were greeted with festive Hawaiian leis. Everybody mingled while enjoying delicious appetizers. The celebration kicked off with fun party games, but it became apparent that some guests didn’t get along and others were hiding scandalous secrets. The party forged on with a delicious Hawaiian dinner while the guests enjoyed a fun challenge. With stuffed bellies, the luau party-goers gossiped and laughed, and to everyone’s horror, a dead body was discovered! The guests rallied together and underwent a thorough investigation including a fiber analysis provided by the local police department.
Taking short breaks to relieve the stress of the investigation, they engaged in more exciting party games. They took turns accusing the suspects they believed were guilty, and everyone came clean with their involvement in the crime. Backed into a corner, the murderer confessed! After a brave escape attempt by the killer, the guests enjoyed a delectable dessert and reflected on the evening’s exciting events! It was a luau that the guests will remember forever!

This was our first MM game and it won’t be our last! Everyone had such a great time! Mahalo plenty!
Used for a 12 year old girls slumber party, super cute!
Always good fun to play, especially with people who get excited about the game!
This game was a lot of fun! I highly recommend - it would be nice if there were videos included though.
Purchased this party for my daughter's 14th birthday party. I wasn't sure how it would go over but they loved it. They really got into their characters and played it up to get the most out of it. They were entertained and engaged for the evening but still with plenty of time between rounds to do what they wanted to do. The download and instructions were easy and there are lots of options to make your party as simple or as elaborate as you would like.
I hosted a party for some teacher friends to help us mentally prepare for the last week and a half of school. This was the first time we have gotten together socially and unmasked in over a year, and wow did we have fun! We totally got into our characters; Kristen Withers even had a costume change in the middle of the party! The luau theme made decorating and the food ideas easy. I was the server so it totally fit my character to serve food and make cocktails all evening. One guest noted that this was the first time in ten years that we had all been together and not talked shop for hours at a time! One guest is taking the coconut to school and it will find its way to teachers’ desks through the end of the year as a fun reminder of the party. Thank you MMP for a wonderful time!
The luau was a great success! Our guests had a ball as they worked to solve the mystery. Several twists and turns made it interesting! Everything was well organized.
Used this for office teambuilding because we are all remote now. The concept was well developed and entertaining. It definitely took some reimagining to make it work in a remote setting. I prepared all the character instructions head of time to email during the game at appropriate intervals. That was effective. Our team is quite and wasn't doing a lot of vocalizing. Once we opened a group chat all players participated at a brisk pace and afterward many reported that they had a good time. We've kept the chat log since it was so entertaining. Several other departments are looking at other parties and I recommended this website after our experience. Thanks! ------------------------------- FROM MMP STAFF: Thank you for sharing your experience and we're glad you had fun playing this on a virtual platform. Next time, we encourage you to try one of the virtually-formatted games, as they were developed specifically for virtual gameplay - so you'll have essentially no pre-party hassle.
We had a great time this weekend with just a party of 6. The mystery was not overly challenging so we were able to solve it. I do think with more people it would have been more difficult. Characters were well developed and fun!
