Murder Mystery Synopsis:

The Dawson family has just settled into their new home at 614 Scarlet Court, and to make a splash in their cozy neighborhood, they’re throwing a block party. Leading the charge is Isabella Dawson—a seasoned party host who has already earned the unofficial title of resident gossip queen after just two months in the small town of Shady Oaks. Despite the chatter, neighbors are looking forward to a night of food, fun, and friendly faces… or so it seems.

Since the invitations hit mailboxes, whispers of blackmail, betrayal, and simmering revenge have begun to stir beneath Shady Oaks’ picturesque surface. The air is thick with tension, and not just from the humidity.

Still, Isabella insists on keeping things cheerful—offering dazzling conversation, gourmet bites, and party games designed to charm even the grumpiest guests. But with secrets bubbling just below the surface, who knows what the night will bring?

Your invitation has arrived, and you’re planning to attend.
This is where your story begins.

    Fantastic time

This was a great pack for our party of 30 people. Instructions and suggestions were easy to follow. I had a friend help me stuff envelopes so I could play. We had a fantastic night of figuring out who the killer was. Everyone showed up in character with props - I added clothing suggestions in the mailed invitations. We made lots of themed drinks and food to help set the mood. Great party!

Had been searching for a while to find the right murder mystery game! Completed this game with a group of 17 and everyone had a great time. I did unfortunately find out who the murderer was when organizing the paper work but was still fun!!

    SO MUCH FUN!

Posted by Stephanie on Jan 5th 2021

I did this with a group of 8 people and we had SUCH a fun time! I was worried about whether or not people would get into character, but with everything this product provided, it was hard not to! We had a really great time and learned a lot... we definitely want to do another one again! I will mention, I had a friend who couldn't come do a lot of the organizing of the cards in envelopes for me. I was really thankful for that, because it would have been difficult to cut out and place each person's round 2 and 3 cards in their envelopes without anything being ruined. If the host is planning on playing, I recommend finding someone to do this for you!

    So much fun

I hosted my first murder mystery party with a bunch of friends and family.. it was 20 people so all of the characters were played. I’m honestly surprised at how much fun everyone had. I sent out the character roles 2 days prior to the party and I told everyone it was optional to dress in character but the majority of my guests dressed up which was awesome. Everyone really got into the game and played they’re characters well. I was nervous about making someone a victim but the person who played the victim really loved it. I hosted it but I also played a character. I will be purchasing another game because I have a lot of people telling me how they want to do this again.

    Super Fun

We threw this together in about 24 hours - It still worked out great. We even did the pre -game Texts. That was so fun because we had things to talk about as the guests arrived from the second I opened the door as the host. We did the block party in the winter but still did Hamburgers and Block party type food and stated that due to the inclement weather we had to move the party inside. We decorated Tiki Bar type decorations. I feel like it is super important to set the stage and stay in character. It made all the difference. The game is super easy to follow and clear and concise directions. I was the host and still played - I did not look at any of the cards and I had no idea who the murderer was~! I would do this again and buy another game for sure!

You'll have a blast with any of these mysteries!

These are put together very well, which makes it easy to host a mystery. We have had nothing but great comments from attendees.

    Great Evening!

Posted by Taren on Apr 12th 2019

This is my second "My mystery party" kit and I really enjoyed it. I downloaded the PDF, and did my own props. I loved that it was a block party, because I made it a potluck to make hosting easier on myself. Everyone got really into it, and we ran it for exactly 3 hours, just like my last one. That included mingling for ~45 minutes while eating finger food, then we started dinner and got round 2 cards shortly after. There was another hour of intense conversation as people interrogated each other after the victim reveal. Then we had a dessert "break" during which people wrote out their accusations. We compiled them, then did the round 3 wrap up, ending exactly 3 hours after we started. We didn't do the mini games, and I had about 13 people, but it was a great number for people to be easily interacting throughout the event and sharing what they needed with each other. Interestingly, our victim was nearly 40 minutes late, so we spent a while realizing that many people did not like them-- and by the time the victim arrived, the characters were all ramped up! We were a little disappointed that the complete motive behind the murder was something related to an optional character. I wish that character had been required so we would have had a clue what was going on there, rather than just getting the timeline correct.

    Highly Recommended

This was our first hosted event so we were a little wet behind the ears. I found the story to be not only interested, but there were some surprising character revelations that I didn't see coming. The game was humourous and well-liked by all. There were a few times when someone almost spit out their drink from something said and there were plenty of laughs. We ran this game twice and it was interesting to see how it was played a bit differently by the characters for each one. I would highly recommend this game.
