It is almost time for the International CSI Association conference in the lovely city of Anonville. The who’s who of the forensic world is already trickling into the Grande Resort & Hotel. The crème de la crème of forensic investigators will present their exciting and innovative forensic science research projects to their colleagues, followed by the traditional social hour where a delectable buffet-style dinner will be served. The forensic investigators from around the globe will relax, enjoy good food and catch up on the past year’s research findings. They’ll be sure to discuss their big cases and trade interesting stories from the crime scenes they’ve investigated over the past year.
It’s well known that some of these investigators have a turbulent history and have not always gotten along harmoniously. Social media outlets have been peppered with posts of ill intent, and scandals are brewing at the surface. However, the event hosts are in good spirits about the conference and believe the CSI personnel will remain professional and the conference will go off without a hitch. They may be dreaming. Many think there may be enough fuel added to the fire for a public eruption by putting these people in the same room. You’ve got your itinerary and are set to arrive at the Grande Resort & Hotel tomorrow morning. This is where your story begins.

We played this one over the weekend for my daughter’s birthday and with her group of friends. In all we had 12 characters played and all were around the 16-17 age range. Everyone had a great time and the party was a huge success. Now, I do have some recommendations for others thinking about trying this. Please please please, if you are thinking of hosting one and you and the group is not very familiar with how to play these then I HIGHLY recommend you have someone (adult preferred) to be the actual Host and not try to play a character. Too much is going on that things can get a little jumbled. This is especially true if you are playing the host and don’t want to spoil the story of who the victim is. We had an issues where the victim just didn’t understand the timing and what they were supposed to do and ending up dying way too earlier and in the wrong place. It would have been better if the host (not playing a character) could have been there to make sure that it played out correctly. It made for some interesting story corrections that had to be done. It also helps to know that ppl can have someone to go to ask questions if they are confused about something. Even still though we all had a great time. Joshua Hebert on Feb 28th 2022

This was our first time hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner. The guests had a great time. I being the host, tried to participate not knowing the details (had hubby stuff envelopes). I strongly suggest dressing up and committing. I know if we do another one, we will know what to expect / how to play so it will be even more fun! Jillian Smiley on Jun 11th 2018
Played with group of 14 20 year olds, everyone had so much fun and got into character. Great flexibility to be able to add and take players for no shows etc. Only bad thing is always the same murderer so can't play again with same bunch. Unknown on Apr 20th 2018
