Christmas Murder Mystery: Christmas Catastrophe

A fun family Christmas murder mystery party for ages 12+ for difficulty! There is a minimum of 6 players to play this game and there are three kit sizes - 12, 17 and 22 players. This murder mystery isn't a 'serious' murder, so it is safe for family fun!

Mystery Synopsis:

In Christmas Village, nestled deep within the North Pole, preparations for the holiday season take place 364 days a year. Each year, the coveted Christmas Icon award is bestowed upon the most dedicated and effective holiday helper. Traditionally, the honor goes to a toy shop elf, but this year, rumors are swirling that the top contenders are none other than Icy the Snowman and the Gingerbread Man. Of course, in a town like this, surprises abound—anyone could walk away with the prize.

The recipient of the award will not only enjoy a cash bonus but also earn exclusive perks: a year’s supply of roasted chestnuts, an extra vacation day, the power to change one Christmas law, and a guaranteed spot in the legendary Claus Hall of Fame.

With the big night of gift delivery fast approaching, the village is buzzing with excitement. Silver bells chime through the frosty air, eggnog flows freely, and sugar plums are everywhere. Mrs. Claus has summoned the entire town to Santa’s Cottage for a festive gathering and the much-anticipated announcement of the Christmas Icon of the Year award. The townsfolk are busy rehearsing their carols and donning their most spirited holiday attire, eager for the grand occasion. Anticipation hangs thick in the wintry air.

However, tensions among the villagers are unavoidable—there's always a bit of holiday friction among colleagues this time of year. But for the sake of the children on the nice list, everyone will need to set their differences aside and bring their best Christmas cheer.

As a resident of the North Pole, you’ve been personally invited to this celebration by Mrs. Claus. There are a few Christmas personalities you’d rather avoid, but when Mrs. Claus calls, attendance is non-negotiable. Besides, who knows? You just might win the Christmas Icon award yourself—stranger things have happened in the North Pole!
