Ugly Christmas Sweater Party: Murder Mystery Party Game

Our "Ugly Christmas Sweater" murder mystery party was a complete success. The theme made everything simple and fun--costumes were as easy as pulling on the loudest, tackiest holiday sweater people could find, which took all the stress out of getting ready. The game itself landed perfectly. Everyone had a great time stepping into their characters, and the humor in the script kept the energy light and playful from start to finish. We purchased the Murder at the Ugly Sweater Christmas Party to use at their Ugly Sweater Party. It was great! People who normally would not interact outside of their departments were talking to everyone. I appreciate that the cards tell each character who they need to find, and who they should talk too, and the game was so good that nobody actually guessed the killer! They were so surprised when the "killer" confessed. This is the second kit we have purchased and it was excellent.

I purchased this for my classroom to have my seniors in high school play. I used it to teach argumentative writing and it was so much fun. The students dressed up and played along and it was hilarious when they found out the murderer. I completely recommend it.

This was the perfect office party game. Everyone came in their ugly sweaters and the game was easy to follow. All participated and had a great time. I recommend for parties where you may not know everyone. I found that people really got into it!

It was very reasonably priced and the directions were easy to follow and getting things ready was simple and didn't break the bank. We are doing this mystery on Christmas eve and all invited can't wait for everything to play out. Others I have told about it are very interested in having a party too and the best thing is I can organize all of it for them to enjoy too. Can't wait to try other ones!

To provide something fun for my students to write and argumentative essay, I decided to try this mystery out. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast and even dressed in ugly sweaters. It was a great way to get them to write.

I ordered the Party Ready Pack for my office holiday party this year and everyone had a blast! We had 20 people so it was the perfect number. I would recommend the host go over the forensic report a few times before the party and just give a summary to your guests because it's a lot to take in at first. About half our group guessed the murderer so it wasn't too easy or too hard

We just might make this a holiday tradition. Our small group and our significant others had a great time at the Snowflake Lodge!

I was nervous hosting my first murder mystery party but this company helped me pull off an amazing event for my birthday!! Everything was so easy to plan and facilitate. I had about 20 guests and they all came ready to play with ugly sweaters and suggested props. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone even considering it. I wish I had used the pre-game feature, but everything was perfect even without it. I chose to do appetizers throughout the night instead of a sit down dinner and that too worked out really well. Only one person was actually able to solve the mystery. Overall the game was excellent and we all had a great time!

Also you don’t have to use all of them. I selected the best characters to match what fit my group. The ages ranged from 18-52. We had adults and adult kids. It was harder to solve than I thought. Only three people out of group guessed correctly- adding this information to let you know it’s not cheesy and easy!! Lol. Everyone wants to make this an annual event. We loved it’n

This was so much fun. I was a little worried that is was going to be a bit much for 9,10 and 11 year olds... but they did amazing! They got into it and loved all the gossiping and really sat down and tried to figure out who did it! I would recommend this to anyone who has an out going bunch of people. Loved every minute of this!

The murder mystery was a fun time for my family and friends. Printing and putting the items together took some time but it was well worth it.

This was our first murder mystery party. Everything was provided and all we had to do was print, cut and organise. Loved every minute and so did our guests. This is the start of something very exciting!!

This murder mystery game was actually really fun. I have never done one before, let alone, planned one for others. Everyone got into it and some people caught into the killer. Even the kids were interested in the game. We did a cute cat walk after the game to show off our ugly Christmas sweaters.

I would order another mystery murder package. We had 18 people from age 18-90. There were any laughs! Everyone got into their characters! We did take breaks between the rounds to eat and just chat. The package is well laid out. Do read through it a few times before the night and assign your characters a few days before so they can read up on them and prepare. That makes it fun!

This was the first murder mystery my family has ever done. I planned the party also a first. I must say it was very easy to pull together and everyone had a lot of fun. I would recommend this game to anyone. We loved it.

We kept it simple and with 8 girls it went much quicker than the given time line. It was a success and the murderer was found:-) I have organized several mysteries. This one was straight forward and easy to follow.

We did this with our parents, kids and grand kids. Our ages ranged from 10 to 85! We paired the younger kids with the older adults. It worked great! We did not go full blown but simply introduced characters and did the rounds between appetizers, dinner and dessert. Our participants took their roles seriously and we had many laughs and much fun! It made for a very enjoyable evening! We are now thinking about doing it full blown with adults!

I bought this for a teen event. It took me a little set up before hand but everything was so simple and easy. Teens are notoriously low on commitment so I just gave them their characters the night of and it actually worked out great! They had a blast and no one even realized who the extra characters were. The kids are demanding another one now with even more characters.

We've done a few mystery parties from other companies and this one was far better. Our guests had a blast. The player parts were great, and everyone got into it. I suggest doing all the pre-game activities, as well. I'll be back with this company, for sure.

Looking for a different way to spend the holidays with family? I had 4 teenagers to entertain, a “grandmother “, single aunt, divorced uncle and many personality. I didn’t want everyone to just watch TV or play video games or be on their phone. This murder mystery hit the spot. Everyone spent days looking for the perfect ugly sweater (or t-shirt) and then over dinner we played the game. We all had a blast and ended up laughing hysterically and having great conversation and fun! Fun for all! Win!

This was my first experience with a murder mystery party. There was a lot of cutting-out to do and A LOT of reading to do to understand how the night is supposed to go. Other than that, everything went well and it was laid out easily.
