Bloodworth Falls is an isolated town plagued with scandals. The townsfolk bicker in the streets, and many believe the local government is corrupt. Nevertheless, the mayor is hosting a mysterious masquerade ball in the old Ravenwood Castle. The tickets to the event have sold out in record time. The townspeople are curious to find out why the mayor would put effort into doing something positive in this hopeless town of gloom. Anticipation for the event hangs thickly in the air, and many are already hunting for the perfect mask. You are worried what will happen on this night when toxic people come together. You are alarmed, as you didn't purchase your ticket - it was placed in your mailbox in an unmarked envelope. Somebody wants you there, but you don't know why. This is where your story begins.
This instantly downloadable game accommodates 40 unique players by using both expansion packs and an additional yet optional ability to expand to over ~130+ guests by using teams (duplicate players) with expansion pack #1. View the character list of expansion pack #1 for further details. The game may expand above 200, but not much further than that.

I've been participating and running Murder Mystery parties for about 15 years now and have had mixed experiences over the years with pre-packaged MMs. I was getting so frustrated with some that I wrote the last couple myself.
I rate this one as "very good". The stories were excellent, there were no aukward love/lust relationships (which are a very common motive in these type games).
We played with the full compliment of 18 players and it suffered from what many MMs do - that you only experience a third of the storylines. Because of that, without going to every single other character, interviewing them and doing detailed deduction, I had no hope of uncovering the murderer. But I knew that going in and just enjoyed "the ride".
I thought the pre-game activies were excellent. The theme, where every character had a color, was really fun and made it easy to remember who was who (which is often a problem). I loved that we were encouraged to reveal our deep, dark secrets in act 2 rather than try to hide them. And I loved the final round, where we all had information to read and where we detailed our motives.
I will likely be purchasing from this site again. Tony Dougherty on Jun 4th 2019
None of my friends had ever done a party like this before so I was nervous that it would be hard but the instructions were easy to follow and everything went smoothly! The set up is super easy and fun was had by all! We are already planning to buy another game from this site for our next one! Madison on May 8th 2019
We played this for our teen formal and the kids all really got involved and had fun acting out there parts even those that are on the shy side. We will look to do another one in the future. Unknown on Mar 27th 2019
As first time murder mystery players. My group had a ball. We all mingled and played our parts. Sarah on Feb 17th 2019
