Description
An exciting escape room murder mystery party a minimum of 6 players (flex-gender), ages 15+ for difficulty. This is our traditional, mingling murder mystery format with a bonus escape room feature in addition to the murder mystery. The escape room will give clues to the mystery host in the storyline and then - a murder happens that the group must solve. There is an expansion pack available for this game that adds up to 6 players (sold separately).
Note: you will need to set up a DIY escape room as part of this game, so do not choose this game unless you have some time to plan and arrange your DIY escape room.
Included with your mystery download is access to a bonus site that shows you how to create your own escape room experience. Use the printable materials and everyday items around the house—or go all out with elaborate décor. The setup is entirely up to you—we provide the guide, and you bring it to life. It will take some planning time on your part to design it in your home.

There is no victim's sign in this game - instead, you get an announcement page.

Murder Mystery Synopsis:
You’ve received a mysterious invitation to an escape room party. The location? A leased vacation home on the edge of the fog-covered town of Noxhelm’s Crossing. The host remains anonymous—but the guest list is all too familiar. Everyone invited is known for their ambition, influence… and scandal.
According to the invitation, you’ll need to work together to escape before time runs out. You’ve always wanted to challenge yourself with a room full of puzzles, riddles, and cryptic codes—but the combination of high-stakes personalities in one confined space could have dangerous consequences.
Still, you’ve never been one to shy away from a thrill. You’ve accepted the challenge.

Worth the extra effort!
This was my third time hosting a mystery party, and it was definitely the most work, but well worth the extra effort. I held it for 13 people (used the expansion pack), so it was a larger group. Because of the bigger group I had to make the escape room puzzles with varying degrees of difficulty, but it was a huge success! You need a lot of extra time and attention to detail to plan it, so wait to do this one until you have a couple of easier parties under your belt first. Overall, it was great!

Fun but more work on host
My daughter and her friends have done several murder mysteries from My Mystery Party. They are lots of fun and easy to host. When we picked the Escape Room, I assumed it would again require minimal planning. However, the escape room portion is not scripted and requires quite a bit more work. It was fun and added a nice twist but it definitely takes more planning and set up (we spent several hours planning and setting up the escape room). The murder mystery portion is shortened a bit since you have the added escape room portion. All in all - very fun but a lot more work to host!

This was so fun. It was better than any other we have played. The escape room added such a great excitement. It was not hard at all to set up. I wish they had more of these!!

What a great night! There were yet 6 of us but it was so much fun! The instructions were easy to follow and there were some great ideas for the escape room. I would absolutely recommend this escape room Murder mystery dinner! Epic!

Great way to spend an evening with friends!
We used the download version of this game, and it has everything we needed to have a great party. None of us had done one before, so it was new to all of us, but the instructions really walked us through and made for a wonderful time with friends!

Lots of Fun!
We had a group of 8 players, 6 of them were 13 year old girls. None of us had done a murder mystery party before so we didn't know what to expect. Everyone had a great time. Mingling at the beginning of each round took us a bit of time, but we ended up sharing as a group and it didn't ruin anything.

A great birthday party for a teen!
I'm not sure who had more fun with this--my 15-year old daughter and her friends or me! I had a blast "constructing" the Escape Room portion of this party, and the mystery portion was well laid-out and easy to manage. We're looking for another excuse to have another party, and we'll definitely use mymysteryparty.com again.

well prepared kit (download version)
The kit gave enough information to prepare your own escape room, and also provided suggestion so that if you are creative you can add your own touches to the escape room. The murder mystery posed a challenge to many guest, although not elusive to all. One person was able to figure out the 'whodunnit' with the clues provided. I would strongly consider buying from this company again if in need of a murder mystery.

Unique and exciting evening!
As a long time customer of this company, I can say that this game was full of excitement. I spent a bit of time creating my DIY escape room and went over the top (but the instruction site has a ton of easier options - I'm just crazy like that) and my guests were bummed it was over. Combining a murder mystery and escape room was the best.

We had a blast!
I purchased this Mystery Dinner and hosted it with my work team. The Escape Room aspect of the plot allowed us an opportunity to engage in team building challenges. Everyone had a great time!
