Mystery Synopsis:
Mancy Crew is a senior at River Peak High. With a natural talent for investigation, she founded the River Peak High Forensic Science Club, which has assisted the police department on occasion! Mancy received a frantic phone call from her best friend and neighbor, Amanda Christie. At 12:00 PM, Amanda received a ransom note on her doorstep regarding the kidnapping of her beloved cat, Catniss. Mancy has called an emergency meeting of the River Peak Forensic Science Club to investigate the feline abduction.
The club has agreed to help its Vice President, Amanda, and will meet at Mancy Crew’s house. Mancy will brief the group upon arrival, but she also has a few stress-relieving games planned to break up the meeting. As Mancy says - relaxed sleuths are effective investigators! Rumor has it there will be ransom notes to discuss, and maybe a code to decipher before the kidnapper can be found. This is where your story begins.

Engaging
The girls had a great time and were so engaged in the game. kids were 10-12 years old. They mingled well with each other and several even came to me to share their theories. The kidnapper said in the first round, "I think maybe I did it!" The game kept them guessing till the end. several of the girls changed their theory a few times. In the end, 70% decided correctly.

Great fun
This was the birthday theme for my 10 year old. The mystery was appropriate for this age. They enjoyed it and figured it out. Definitely recommend.

Perfect package
This was the party of a lifetime. My daughter had the best 10th birthday ever. She and her friends had a blast figuring out the mystery.

Very well-organized and easy to use
Overall, we were very pleased with this mystery. The characters were fun and the 45-page PDF contained everything we needed to run the party, even without much time spent reviewing everything. You do need to allow time to cut out name tags, clues, etc. We had a group of 9- and 10-year-old girls and the clues and strategic play were probably a little bit beyond them. They still had fun, but needed a lot of adult help to keep things moving. I'm guessing an older (early teens) group would do really well with this.
