CUSTOM CHARACTERS: Select as many custom mystery characters as you would like in your game - select your custom qualities (i.e. gender, age range, quirk, and role in the game) and then put each of them into your shopping basket. The minimum custom mystery character amount is 6 and the maximum amount of mystery characters is 30. If you want more than 30 mystery characters, please select the extra option (see below). Please note: any orders placed incorrectly will be canceled.
CUSTOM MYSTERIES: Select your custom mystery - murder and non-murder options. Only select one and put it into your shopping basket. If you want to keep the mystery details as a surprise, simply choose the surprise me link! If you select more than one - we will choose one and surprise you. If you do not select one at all...we will select one for you.
CUSTOM THEMES: Select the mystery theme of your party (i.e. medieval, groovy '70s, etc). You can also choose the location of the mystery party (i.e. disco, hotel, backyard, etc.). Depending on the mystery theme that you choose, will depend on the side bonus games that we include in your game. The bonus games will stay within the theme of the party and there will be at least one per round. Please be careful to place your mystery party order correctly. We can always correct it later, but your order will not be placed in the official author's cue (i.e. like standing in line) until it is a valid order.
OPTIONAL UPGRADES(i.e. PARTY READY PACK) please select the appropriate option upon checkout. The optional upgrades include a 'rush my order' option and a party ready pack option. Most of our customers elect to have us prepare the game materials for them as it is a no-fuss party prep.
DURING CHECK OUT - leave your email address in the custom mystery comments section for our authors so they will be able to contact you within 24 hours via email to discuss your murder or non-murder mystery party. Also, leave any other minor customizations that you would like to have in your mystery party(i.e. to make a certain character be the birthday person, etc.). Our authors will begin working on your custom built mystery party within 24 hours (as long as the order is valid)!
GAME DELIVERY: once the mystery party is completed by the author, the mystery party is edited and then emailed to your email address provided upon checkout in an Adobe pdf file within 4 weeks from the purchase date!

*Please note - for a higher level of customization beyond our template characters and themes as well as more control of exactly what you prefer to happen in your murder mystery party - please contact us for a quote as this level of customization (i.e. having historically valid characters, adding new characters or a theme that is not in our set list, etc.) will take additional hours of our authors' time. With a higher level of customization, you will be able to choose any custom mystery characters and any murder or non-murder mystery theme you wish and you will be given a pre-edit review of the game in which you will be able to make any necessary changes before the game is completed.
Please note: during the busiest times of the year, custom murder mystery party writing services may become unavailable for periods of time while the authors work through the mystery cue. During these times you will be unable to purchase custom murder mystery parties - but we will post the future date of availability on this page. Prices of custom murder mystery writing services are subject to change according to market value.
In order to keep our prices lower than our competitors, we offer custom murder and non-murder mystery parties for sale on the My Mystery Party site after a 30 day period following completion. We will remove any 'personalized' information that you provided to us for your game. If you prefer not to have your custom murder mystery game offered for sale on the site, please contact us for a individual price quote for your custom game. Custom characters written for existing mysteries may be put for sale in expansion packs immediately upon completion. For a commercial license for more than one use of the game, please contact us. We will not be held responsible for editing any changes you personally make to our custom murder mystery games after the author has sent the mystery party pdf via email. If you make changes to the mystery party, you can request that we edit these changes, but we will charge you a fee of $25.00 per hour for the editor's time investment.
