Corporate Murder Mystery Party Game Synopsis |
|
The Annual Conference for Worldwide Prestige, Inc. was scheduled to be held this year at the Grande Plaza Hotel in New York City. News leaked that the CEO, Mr. Eric Wilde, was to announce the end of the year figures and prove to the Board of Directors and investors worldwide that he had not only saved the company from an imminent bankruptcy one year ago when he was hired on as the CEO, but had doubled profits from the highest profit year in the history of the company! Not only was Worldwide Prestige, Inc. safe from having its’ doors closed but now the employees believed it might mean a healthy holiday bonus for all!
Back at corporate headquarters in Anonville, Texas, the air was electric as the employees buzzed about their upcoming trip to the Big Apple the following week! However, the air turned stale as the shocking news flashed through the overhead speaker system at corporate headquarters about their heroic Chief Executive Officer. To everyone’s dismay, Mr. Eric Wilde was officially missing! His personal effects were left in his desk, his car was in his space in the parking lot, and not a light was on at his home! Since he started at the company, Mr. Wilde had worked 15 hours a day, 7 days a week and never missed a minute even to blow his nose! The Board was certain foul play was involved but didn’t want to involve the police just yet! The media would certainly put a Doom’s Day spin on the CEO’s absence and the company's stocks would plummet without Mr. Wilde’s solid leadership in place. The show had to go on and everything had to appear normal or Worldwide Prestige, Inc. was destined for disaster.
To everybody’s surprise, the Board of Directors appointed Jasmine Aurora, a prior Senior Risk Officer in the Internal Audit Department, to serve in Mr. Eric Wilde’s place until he returned. The Board also decided to proceed with the Annual Conference as planned in hopes that Mr. Wilde would be found in time as all investors had an open invitation to the strategy sessions and would certainly know something was wrong when Mr. Wilde wasn’t there.
The employees arrived at the Grande Plaza Hotel and kicked off the conference early in the morning with corporate strategy breakout sessions and critical thinking seminars. After a grueling day of meetings, the employees of Worldwide Prestige, Inc. were excited to relax and unwind with a fun reception following by a formal dinner and awards banquet.
Upon arrival to the Majestic Ballroom, the business men and women enjoyed ice-breaking games and delicious appetizers and cocktails. Jasmine Aurora directed the employees to sit down for a delectable dinner but to everyone’s shock, a ransom note for Eric Wilde was revealed. The news of the kidnapping caused a mixture of emotions and panic to flood through the Majestic Ballroom as the team threw together a plan to save Mr. Wilde. Adding to the thrill of the evening, everybody was aghast to discover a dead body! Knowing the murderer and possibly the kidnapper was amongst them, they decided to rally together to figure out whodunit and fast! Whodunit!? Was the murder and kidnapping related? What would become of Worldwide Prestige, Inc? These questions can only be answered by playing the game, Corporate Chaos: the Murder at Worldwide Prestige, Inc.
